How to Sell Raffle Tickets

So you want to help out NCSY by selling raffle tickets! That’s great! Here are a couple of suggestions on how to do it… (first make sure you understand how the raffle works – here: cleveland.ncsy.org/cowraffle)

Important: When people buy tickets online, tell them to write YOUR NAME under “Ticket Solicited by…”

Email
Send a PERSONAL email to your friend or relative who might be interested in helping out. Write a letter in your own words… here’s an example:

“Dear ‘so and so’, I am reaching out to you to let you know that I’m working really hard to help my friend go on an amazing experience in Israel this summer. Every little bit could help! Do you think you’d be able to help by buying a raffle ticket for as little as $36? You might even win! You could buy the tickets here – cleveland.ncsy.org/cowraffle – thank you so much!!!”

Make sure to attach the poster in the email! (below)

Door to Door
Walk down your street, or any (safe) street and bring a raffle poster and some raffle tickets (let Rabbi Arieh know that you need some). Here’s how a conversation might go:

“Knock-knock”
“Who’s there?”
“[Your name here]”
“Oh hi, {Your name here}, it’s so good to see you!”
“It’s so good to see you, too! Could I trouble you for 30 seconds? I’m working really hard to help my friend go on an amazing experience in Israel this summer. Would you be interested in buying a raffle ticket for as little as $36? You might even win!”

Show them the poster and the raffle ticket and take down their information or show them the website! (cleveland.ncsy.org/cowraffle)

Phone
Pretty much the same idea… call a friend or a relative and tell them why you’re doing it and how easy it is for them to help out. Tell them the website and say THANK YOU!
