Sefira (Counting the days between Passover and Shavuos) is a time where we usually think about working on how we treat our fellow Jews better. But, this doesn’t mean we should forget about improving our service of God in other ways as well. My davening has really been up and down over the past few weeks. I would probably compare it most to the jumping/hopping/skipping of a kangaroo. If you have ever watched a kangaroo jump, and I highly recommend it, when it is at its peak it stays there for a second and seems as if it will never be pulled down by the gravity. I feel like my Prayer is really where it should be and will stay there, but then the gravity comes and just pulls me down. My goal is to get rid of as much gravity as possible and stay in the air even longer than a kangaroo.
